The five-digit odometer is believed to have rolled over and now shows 54k kilometers (~34k miles). A Smiths voltmeter has replaced the factory ammeter. The steering wheel is wrapped in black leather and sits ahead of Veglia Borletti instrumentation including a 270-km/h speedometer, a tachometer with a 7,700-rpm redline, and a clock as well as gauges monitoring oil temperature, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. Additional features include black mouse-fur dash trim, a beige perforated headliner, a gated shifter, roll-up windows, headrests mounted to the seatbacks, and an AM/FM/cassette stereo. The door panels are warped, while areas of damage are present on the carpeting and floor mats. The cabin is trimmed in black vinyl in lieu of the original beige leather trim, while contrasting red carpeting covers the floors. Stopping is handled by vacuum-assisted ATE disc brakes all around, and the brake fluid was flushed during a service in July 2023. Door locks were relocated to a position below the side intake scoops, while the trunk release button of the L series was omitted.Ĭromodora bolt-on alloy wheels feature Dino-branded hubcaps and were mounted with Hankook Kinergy tires measuring 205/70R14 following the seller dealer’s purchase. The M series featured all steel body panels while retaining its predecessor’s aluminum front hood. Features include flush front turn signals, amber rear turn signals, a roof-mounted antenna, quad ANSA exhaust outlets, and a six-digit California blue license plate. Areas of cracking, crazing, and other imperfections in the finish and trim are shown up close in the photo gallery below. Originally finished in Argento Metallizzato, the Scaglietti body received a repaint in its current shade of red at some point prior to the previous owner’s purchase in 1976. Purchased by the selling dealer in July 2023, this M-series 246 GT is now offered with a Matthias Bartz report, invoices from 2023 service, and a California title listing the car as a 1971 model. Additional features include four-wheel ventilated disc brakes, 14” Cromodora alloy wheels, a roof-mounted antenna, and black vinyl upholstery. Wearing an older repaint in red, the car is powered by a 2.4-liter quad-cam V6 that breathes through triple Weber carburetors and is mated to a five-speed manual transaxle. Chassis 01168 was later imported to the US, where it was purchased in 1976 by Emmy-winning producer Geoff Neigher, who remained its steward for 47 years. This 1970 Ferrari Dino 246 GT is one of approximately 500 M-series examples built during a year of production and was completed on November 3, 1970, before being delivered to its first owner in Milan, Italy, via M.
